A black comedy based on three cartoonists work. As the focal point for a multitude of characters and situations we chose a city festival, a place for meetings and expectations. I wanted to give a picture of enforced dreams and ideals, an abstract image of the consumer society in compressed form. The stage design consisted of four portable loos and hundreds of helium balloons with hysterical motives. The stage was filled more and more of balloons during the performance, some got their own lives such as a floating fish and some broke.

Visuellt är pjäsen en härligt hämningslös historia där scenografen Johanna Mårtenssons drivor av grälla heliumballonger i form av till exempel Svamp Bob Fyrkant och My little pony’s dominerar scenen.

...där heliumballongerna bildar en tropisk skog att hugga sig ut ur. Stadsfestivalen, denna ledsna härva av tygbjörnar, bajamajor och inställda spelningar. En rimlig bild av helvetet.
